Route - Part 10

Colón, Panama to Maracaibo, Zulia, Venezuela

This part of the journey is the only part where we are not driving. The Truck and Trailer will have been driven onto a RoRo (Roll-on, Roll-off) ship in Colón, Panama and, we hope, arrive in Maracaibo, Venezuela a few days later. We say 'hope' because we can only arrange passage for the vehicle once we are within 2 or 3 days of Colón and it could be that there is no convenient sailing to Maracaibo. If that is the case, then we may have to ship to Baranquilla or Cartagena, Columbia instead.
In any event, once the rig is loaded on the ship, we must fly to the city where we are to pick it up again, we are not allowed to sail with it.
The map below shows that route as if we are landing at Cartagena, Columbia.
